Plaintiff returned from Rwanda to attend trial in the US. At trial, Plaintiff did not introduce evidence of either his medical specials or lost wages; instead, he emphasized the alleged permanent nature of his injuries, including his continuing pain and suffering. The trial lasted four days. During closing arguments, Plaintiff's lawyers asked that the jury return a verdict for $1.2 million in damages. The jury rendered a defense verdict.
