Carol Michel Appointment to Faculty 2013 IADC Trial Academy
Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial partner Carol Michel has been appointed to the Faculty of the 2013 IADC Trial Academy. The International Association of Defense Counsel (“IADC”) Trial Academy is one of the oldest and most well-respected programs for developing defense trial advocacy skills. The Academy provides intensive, comprehensive and participatory education to young defense trial lawyers. Its faculty members are experienced, well-recognized lawyers with extensive trial experience. The 2013 IADC Trial Academy, which blends faculty instruction and demonstration with individual student participation, will be held July 27 - August 2, 2013.
The IADC, an invitation-only association, includes leading corporate and insurance attorneys from all over the world. There are approximately 2,500 distinguished attorneys who are members of the IADC. The IADC also has an active role in legal reform and professional development.
Ms. Michel focuses her practice on the representation of clients nationally in catastrophic and high-stakes personal injury litigation. She also represents health care providers before the state medical boards and in connection with all medical staff and credentialing related matters. In addition to IADC, Ms. Michel is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Product Liability Advisory Council, American Health Lawyers Association, Georgia Academy of Healthcare Lawyers Association and Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. She is a frequent speaker and writer on litigation matters and healthcare topics.
