"Coverage in Baldwin Shooting May be Wanting Experts Say."

In an article published by Law360 on November 22, Partner Jackson “Jad” Dial is quoted discussing the recent filing of two California lawsuits by crew members who witnessed the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the film set of a movie with Hollywood superstar Alec Baldwin.

In the suits, “Rust” chief lighting technician and script supervisor are both seeking emotional damages over the Oct. 21 incident in which actor and producer Alec Baldwin shot Hutchins and the film’s director. According to reports, Rust Movie Productions had minimal commercial general liability insurance, which may be inadequate for the suits.

In an interview, Dial, who has previously represented film production companies following on-set accidents, explained that depending on the facts relating to such an accident, individuals working on set, employers of individuals working on set, equipment manufacturers and/or property owners can face lawsuits.
