Lee Roberts Elected to American Board of Trial Advocates
Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial is pleased to announce that Partner Lee Roberts was recently named an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”) Las Vegas Chapter, an invitation-only organization that seeks to foster improvements in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy, as well as preserve the constitutional right to a jury trial.
In order to be considered for Associate membership, candidates must demonstrate experience equivalent to 20 jury trials to verdict as lead counsel. After nomination and vote by the local chapter, candidates must be approved by the National Board of Directors. Only 31 lawyers in Nevada have been elected to this elite organization.
Mr. Roberts’s practice focuses on construction, tort and contract litigation. He has litigated hundreds of cases in 37 states, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, but has focused his practice over the last ten years in Nevada and California. He served as lead counsel for a renowned Las Vegas resort casino in the longest civil jury trial in Nevada history. Mr. Roberts was appointed by the Nevada Supreme Court to the Board of Trustees of the Nevada Law Foundation, and was recently elected to its executive committee. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia in Economics, and his J.D. from the College of William and Mary.
