WWHGD Promotes Five Attorneys to Partnership in 2007
On January 1, 2007, Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial, promoted five attorneys to partnership: Christopher T. Byrd, John M. Hawkins, and Scott A. Witzigreuter. Managing Partner John M. Chris Byrd represents clients in both state and federal courts in claims of wrongful death, product liability, premises liability, breach of contract, mass and complex torts, medical malpractice and construction law. Mr. Byrd has represented clients in more than 10 states throughout the country. He earned a B.S. from the University of Georgia in 1994, and received his J.D., cum laude, from Drake University Law School in 1998. Mr. Byrd is admitted to practice in Georgia and Nevada.
Jack Hawkins’ practice is very diverse, including representation of hospitals, builders, automobile dealerships and other entities in litigation matters ranging from construction to medical malpracitce to product liability to commercial litigation. He has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts and arbitration tribunals and has substantial appellate experience. He is a 1995 graduate of Furman University, having earned his B.A. cum laude. He received his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 1998. Mr. Hawkins is admitted in Georgia.
Scott Witzigreuter’s practice focuses on construction litigation and commercial contract litigation. He has tried cases on behalf of owners, contractors, subcontractors, sureties, suppliers, materialmen and insurers in Alabama, Nevada, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky and North Carolina. He received his B.B.A., cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 1996, and his J.D., cum laude, from there in 1999. Mr. Witzigreuter is admitted in Georgia.
