Matt Gomes Named Georgia Legal Elite

ATLANTA (December 1, 2016) --- 2016 Litigation Department of the Year Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn & Dial is proud to announce Partners Matt Gomes and Michael Paupeck’s selection to Georgia Trend’s 2016 Legal Elite.  This marks the first year in which WWHGD has multiple attorneys represented in the Georgia Legal Elite.   Matt was selected for Labor & Employment law, while Michael was chosen for Real Estate / Construction Law.

Matt is a key Partner in the Labor & Employment practice group for WWHGD.   An experienced trial lawyer, Matt also works with employers to avoid labor and employment issues by providing counseling and training in discipline, discharge, employee handbooks, and affirmative action plans. Matt has represented companies in union contract negotiations and before the National Labor Relations Board.  He was recognized by Georgia Trends Legal Elite in 2012 and 2013 as well.  Matt graduated with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill prior to attending Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude.

Michael is a Partner in the nationally recognized Construction Litigation practice group.  In addition to handling high-exposure, high-stakes construction cases, he works with smaller businesses requiring creative techniques for resolving litigation disputes.  Michael received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School as a member of the Vanderbilt Law Review after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Georgia.  

Georgia Trend’s December 2016 issue is its fourteenth annual listing of top attorneys in the state of Georgia.  The attorneys are nominated by their peers who are members of the Georgia Bar and live and practice within the state.
