WWHGD Announces New Partners and Members for 2016

ATLANTA (January 8, 2016) --- Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial elected five attorneys to its partnership: Jeremy Alberts, Brannon Arnold, Derick Cooper, Steve Gonzalez, and Michael Paupeck. 

Jeremy Alberts has successfully litigated numerous complex cases.  His practice focuses on appeals, catastrophic injury, transportation, premises liability, and professional liability.  Prior to joining WWHGD, Jeremy served as a Clerk for the Honorable Justice Michael Douglas at the Supreme Court of Nevada. He received his B.S. degree from Arizona State University and attended Gonzaga University School of Law. 

Brannon Arnold practices in the areas of product liability, catastrophic injury, and premises liability.  She represents product manufacturers and distributors nationwide on serious injury and wrongful death cases and is a frequently requested speaker at industry conferences.  Brannon has tried multiple cases to verdict for her clients.  Additionally, Brannon was named to the Georgia Rising Stars List for Personal Injury Defense: Products by Super Lawyers Magazine for the previous three years. She is actively involved in the DRI, Ellevate Network, Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and OnBoard.  Brannon received both her B.A. and J.D. from the University of South Carolina. 

Derick Cooper focuses his practice on catastrophic injury, premises liability, and product liability.  Derick has obtained multiple defense verdicts for his clients nationally.  His clients include heavy equipment manufacturers, consumer product manufacturers, national retailers, apartment complexes, fraternal organizations, and trucking companies among others.  Derick received his B.B.A. from the University of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude, and his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served on the Wake Forest Law Review.  During law school, Derick clerked for Justice George H. Carley on the Supreme Court of Georgia.

Steve Gonzalez practices in the areas of commercial litigation, construction litigation, and real estate.  He has successfully defended clients regarding claims for design and construction defects and obtained verdicts on behalf of clients for non-payment claims, among others.  Steve currently represents the country’s largest student housing developers.  From 2013-2015, he was named to the Florida Rising Stars List for Construction Litigation by Super Lawyers Magazine.  After receiving a B.A. from the University of Miami, Steve went on to graduate cum laude from the New England School of Law where he was Editor-in-Chief for the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement. 

Michael Paupeck focuses his practice on construction litigation, professional liability litigation, commercial litigation, and catastrophic injury.   He has successfully defended and represented a wide range of clients including architects, engineers, contractors, and owners in professional liability and construction defect cases and various businesses in complex commercial matters.  Michael was named a Georgia Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine for 2014 and 2015.  He received his B.B.A. from the University of Georgia, graduating summa cum laude and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School where he was Order of the Coif.

WWHGD also announces the promotion of Jad Dial and Matt Kramer to Members of the firm. 

All promotions effective January 1, 2016.​
