“Definitely Not 'A Bridge Too Far': Georgia’s Latest Legislative Attempt to Limit Bad-Faith Settlement Setups.”

“The risk of ‘a bridge too far’ and attempting legal reform that reaches too high and misses is real in any proposed legislation,” says Bonnie and Rapp. “But there’s no chance of accomplishing a mission never attempted, and it is time for a meaningful legislative effort broadly addressing purportedly wrongful failures to settle that shoots far higher, even at the risk of possible failure.”
