Overview
With a proven skill and passion for trial law, Brian's practice includes extensive experience defending product manufacturers in the context of property damage and catastrophic injury/wrongful death, including automotive products, towing/trailers, fire litigation, and chemical substance exposure involving both industrial and household products. He has also defended auto manufacturers in product liability actions involving almost everything that can happen in a moving vehicle. Brian has extensive experience litigating matters involving general business disputes, insurance bad faith, real estate litigation, professional liability including legal malpractice defense, direct sales/multi-level marketing, financial services, manufacturing, and dram shop and general premises liability.
Brian has represented many corporations and individuals in actions involving business torts, including business and personal defamation claims, fraud/misrepresentation, misappropriation of trade secrets/proprietary information, tortious interference, and unfair competition. He has also represented financial institutions and consumer financial services companies in wire fraud actions and in FCRA, FDCPA, and state law claims, as well as residential and commercial mortgage brokers in state courts and state regulatory actions.
An AV preeminent rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, Brian is recognized in Best Lawyers in America® and Southwest Super Lawyers® for Business/Commercial litigation. He is also a Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) and an adjunct professor at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
Having grown up in the Valley, community involvement is a priority for Brian. He is currently a member of the Thunderbirds and serves on the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation Board. Brian has served on the board of Cancer Support Community Arizona, the Justa Center, and was the inaugural board chair for the Greater Phoenix Black Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a Big Brother with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Arizona.
