Overview
Hilliard has been defending complex civil litigation cases since 2019. His practice includes the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses and long-term care facilities. He also defends individuals and businesses in premises liability, negligent security, and transportation cases with the potential for high damages exposure.
Hilliard is involved in all phases of litigation, including the trial and appellate phases. He is frequently in the courtroom, and clients rely on his defense experience and expertise in evaluating claims and developing strategies for investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial.
In his free time, Hilliard enjoys walking his dog, Louie, with his wife, Anna. He is also an avid Atlanta Braves fan and a die-hard UNC Tarheel supporter.

Representative Experience
- Prevailed, second-chair, in 5-day catastrophic injury trial in which plaintiff blackboarded $54 million prior to the jury's deliberation and defense verdict.
