Sarah Tidwell is an Associate in Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial's Birmingham office.

Sarah is a distinguished member of our legal team, specializing in a diverse range of litigation areas in both state and federal courts. Her practice areas encompass insurance coverage disputes, workers’ compensation, and general, premises, professional, and products liability. She has represented apartment complexes, homeowners’ associations, skilled nursing facilities, hotels, transportation companies, construction companies and contractors, real estate companies, and various professionals such as nurses, architects, engineers, developers, and real estate agents.

Prior to earning her Juris Doctor, Sarah honed her legal acumen as a litigation paralegal. This foundational experience has greatly influenced her approach as an attorney, imbuing her with meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of both state and federal court procedures. These skills have been instrumental in her swift and commendable development as a legal professional.

  • Defended a design company against allegations of numerous violations of Americans with Disabilities Act and Fair Housing Act.
  • Defended an architectural company against allegations of negligence and wrongful death stemming from a trench collapse that killed an individual and injured two others.
  • Defended a construction company against allegations of negligence stemming from foundational issues of a large apartment complex due to wood shrinkage.
  • Defended a limestone aggregate producer against allegations of the wrongful death of a subcontractor’s employee.
  • Defended apartment complexes in suits involving allegations of the wrongful death of an individual resulting from criminal actions of an employee.
  • Defended a volunteer fire department against allegations of the wrongful death of an individual resulting from negligent actions of a volunteer. This case was heard in front of the Alabama Supreme Court on the issue of immunity and whether a volunteer fire department is a government actor.
